Tom Venuto developed the Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book. He has been in bodybuilding since 1983 and competing since 1989. He has been involved in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, health club owner/manager, nutrition consultant, and freelance writer since 1988. Tom began publishing health and fitness information on the internet in 1999. For many years, He was also co-owner and operator of Empire Fitness Club, a health club chain with locations in New Jersey and New York, which had over eleven thousand members at four locations. Tom Venuto currently still works as a consultant for the health club industry, and he is a full-time author and publisher.
Tom has been recognized by magazine editors and industry experts as one of the nation's leading authorities on fat loss and natural bodybuilding. His education includes a degree in exercise science and two certifications; "Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist" (CSCS) and “Certified Personal Trainer” from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Mr. Venuto also is a current member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the International Society for Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
